
COVID Update: York Region Red Zone

IMPORTANT
• Stouffville now requires everyone entering the building to fill out their COVID tracing form. Please note this does not replace SMGHA COVID tracing.
• Markham Spectators: Not permitted. Guardians of players under the age of 10 can help put skates on and take them off but must exit the facility immediately after.
• Stouffville Spectators: Guardians of participants who are 12 & under are permitted in designated viewing areas
City of Markham Red Zone Protocols
All players/coaches must complete the SMGHA Screening Form prior to entering a Markham facility. This form is located on our website homepage (there’s a link in the navigation bar).
• Limit of 10 participants per rink (including coaches). 1 additional off-ice Trainer may be seated in a designated viewing area away from the rink.
• Spectators are NOT allowed -- guardians of players under the age of 10 will be permitted to help put skates on and take them off but must exit the facility immediately after.
• Change rooms will NOT be available
• Recommended to sanitize upon entry and exit
• Face covering is to be worn at all times (unless you are on the ice)
• Participants are still expected to come fully dressed (exception: skates, gloves, helmets, goalie pads).
• Participants are still expected to LEAVE fully dressed (exception: skates, gloves, helmet, goalie pads)
• Benches are not to be used at any time
• No games or scrimmages allowed
• All player contact should be avoided
• Ensure proper distancing at all times
• No food or drink in the facility
• Entry times (15 minutes prior) will remain the same
• Washrooms will be available for emergency use only
