Tape Out Hate
Submitted By John Wilson on Wed 03 09, 22
On February 27th the U15 BB team started using #TapeOutHate hockey tape on their sticks to support and raise awareness for The Hockey Diversity Alliance.

The purpose of The Hockey Diversity Alliance is to eradicate systemic racism and intolerance in hockey.  They are committed to inspire a new and diverse generation of hockey players and fans.  They are striving to create sustainable change on all levels of hockey. At the top, they will educate and encourage accountability from our leagues and leaders. At the grassroots level, they will work to ensure hockey is accessible to anyone who loves the game.

In January 2022, The Hockey Diversity Alliance launched their #TapeOutHate campaign with a video featuring prominent minority voices in hockey. To help drive visibility for the movement and encourage action beyond social conversation, Budweiser and the HDA have designed a physical roll of hockey tape featuring words of support and solidarity from fans, and players. One dollar from every roll of #TapeOutHate hockey tape will go towards the HDA and its mission to eradicate racism in hockey.
