The Novice B Stars swept the Round Robin Play, beating the Host Team GCGH Stars 3-0, Ottawa Ice 11-0, Cornwall Typhoons 3-0 and Smith Falls Cubs 3-1 which gave them an automatic berth to the Finals.
Earlier in the day, Cornwall defeated Kanata in the semis 3-2. This set up a rematch of their Saturday round robin game. In a hard fought back and forth battle, the Stars scored the winning goal in the 2nd period and managed to hang on to the lead through the 3rd period and win the game 1-0 to bring home the gold at the 5th Annual Kickin' It at the Capital Tournament.
