PLAYER & GOALIE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
One of our biggest priorities for the coming years is to transform our association into a centre of excellence for player and coach development. This season, we will be offering both a player development program and goalie development program to support overall player development.

Registration is now open for the programs below. Programs all start soon, so if you're interested, please register right away to secure your space! Open to SMGHA-registered players.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
We have engaged Xcel Hockey, experts in hockey training who frequently work with our Rep teams, to lead our in-house player development program. This is an excellent opportunity to augment a player's regular season development through expert-led skill sessions, at a significantly reduced cost. Open to all SMGHA-registered U7-U18 house league players.

Our Winter sessions will run on Sunday mornings on weekends opposite your regular house league team practices (and therefore, will not conflict with weekly team practices).

GOALIE DEVELOPMENT

Come Try Goalie (free for all registered house league players U7-U18)
Have you ever wanted to give goaltending a try? We are hosting a free 'Come Try Goalie' session with our training partner, Adapt Goaltending, for U7-U18 house league players interested in trying out the goalie position in a fun, supportive environment. Goalie equipment will be provided (although you are welcome to bring your own), so space is limited.  Open to all SMGHA-registered U7-U18 house league players. 

Goalie Development Program (open to all house league, DS, Rep goalies)
Our Goalie Development Program is designed to develop our current goalies, create a supportive community of Stouffville-Markham Stars goalies by training together, and drive increased interest in the goalie position across the association. We have engaged Adapt Goaltending to lead a program of monthly skill development sessions for interested house league, DS and Rep goalies focused on improving overall goalie technique and connecting with other goalies in our association.
