U11A Markham-Stouffville Stars Gold Starsfest
This past Sunday our very own U11A Markham-Stouffville Stars won their first tournament of the year at Starsfest. Our girls put in a lot of hard work this off-season and during training camp, preparing themselves to represent their community at our local tournament.

That hard work payed off through the round robin as they finished first, winning 9 out of a possible 10 points. Waiting for them in the finals was a very tough U11A Brampton Canadettes team. A back and forth regulation time ended in a 3-3 tie and with a flair for the dramatics, our girls scored with 0.9 seconds left on the clock in OT to win the tournament!

Our girls were very proud to keep that Starsfest banner in our community, where it belongs! Great job girls!
