* Dates/times will be finalized once we receive confirmation of ice time from the City of Markham, Town of Stouffville and the OWHA. Locations are usually Angus Glen Community Center on Saturdays, and Stouffville Arena or Stouffville Clippers Sports Complex on Sundays. There may be occasions during the season where times may change to accommodate evaluation sessions, playoffs, championship weekend, etc.
** Due to changes in ice allocation, our U18 house league will be moving to Sunday nights. The U18 schedule will consist of games only. Players interested in continuing their skill development can register for our player development program (registration will open in Sept/Oct).
House League Friend Requests
Friend requests are not guaranteed. We will only consider 1 reciprocal friend request for a player in the same division/age group. This means that if you enter the name of a friend on our Friend Request Form, they must also submit the name of your player on their form. Please complete a friend request form for siblings.
- Submit Friend Request Form by the first evaluation skate with the name of the 'friend.' Friend requests are accepted until September 21, 2024.
- Your friend must submit a 'Friend Request Form' with your name.
Volunteer to coach, assist or act as a trainer
Without coaches and trainers who volunteer their time and step behind the bench every season, there would be no minor hockey in Markham/Stouffville.
Please view our House League Team Staff page for information on how to register to volunteer as a member of a team staff.
Player and Goalie development programs
This season, we will offer a free "try goalie" session for any house league players interested in trying out the position. Additionally, we will offer a program of player and goalie development sessions led by a experienced hockey training provider. These sessions will not conflict with the house league schedule.
More info will be shared with registered players in Sept/Oct.
DS/Select Teams
A DS/Select Team provides an opportunity for house league players to compete at a higher level. A DS team is comprised of players from house league who try out for this competitive team. Currently, we anticipate that we'll have DS teams in our U11, U13, U15 and U18 divisions. The OWHA does not allow for DS teams in U7 and U9.
DS seasons are governed by the OWHA. A typical season includes up to 8 exhibition games, up to 3 tournaments, and approximately 1 practice per week.
DS tryouts are usually held in November. There is an additional cost for playing on a DS team (coaches set their budgets once the house league season starts).
