Novice A, Season 2018-2019 (Stouffville-Markham Girls Hockey)

The Markham-Stouffville Stars Novice A team attend the Leaside March Break Madness Tournament. This was their first Novice A tournament of the year since being re-categorized from Novice B. The team as undefeated in the Round Robin. Tying the host Team Leaside 0-0, defeating both Whitby 1-0 and North Halton 4-1. In the Quarter Finals, they shut out Clarington in a 3-0 win. In a hard fought battle against North Halton in the semi-final, the Stars lost 4-2 which secured them a spot in the Bronze medal game. The Stars went on to beat the North York Storm 4-2 to take home the bronze medal. ...

The Novice B Stars swept the Round Robin Play, beating the Host Team GCGH Stars 3-0, Ottawa Ice 11-0, Cornwall Typhoons 3-0 and Smith Falls Cubs 3-1 which gave them an automatic berth to the Finals.

Congratulations to the Novice B Markham-Stouffville Stars who won gold at the Etobicoke Pink the Rink tournament  and went 5-0 this past weekend. The girls finished first in Pool A after the round robin defeating the North Bay Ice Bolts, Kitchener Lady Rangers and the Kanata Rangers.  They faced off against the Stratford Aces  in the semi finals early Sunday morning and won.  The championship game was set against the winner of pool B and undefeated Orangeville Tigers.
